Its projects are aimed at advocating the rights of HIV-positive people, including expanding access to treatment, care and support.

Current projectsEmpowering the Most Vulnerable in the Fight against HIV/AIDSProject aim: to improve the quality of life of HIV-positive people by strengthening organizational capacity of All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH through gender-based approach Project duration: August 2010 – march 2012 Donor: Oxfam Novib Project geography: National Project budget: 150,420 EUR Project components: 1. Strengthening institutional capacity of the Network via introduction of the best international models and specialized educational activities. It will be reached through: Development of specialized training curriculum on gender/HIV aspects of services, provided to HIV+ people Conducting a training on psychological and physical self-defense for women affected by HIV/AIDS and female staff of HIV-service organizations Provision of micro grants for organizational development and institutionalization of gender related component into the services provision system to the Regional Affiliates of the Network Provision of support on organizing the regular meetings of Regional Representatives of the Network. Development of PR, HR and fundraising strategies of the Network as an essential part of its sustainability 2. Raising awareness of people affected by HIV/AIDS and general population on gender aspects of HIV/AIDS. It will be reached through: Selection and publishing of the best practices related to HIV/gender aspects. Supporting the library on gender related issues (analyses and generalization of present electronic and printed publications on gender aspects). Holding press conferences and other thematic forums (“Stop the violence” campaign etc).
